Representing the esteemed third generation of the Sullivan dental lineage, I am deeply committed to providing the pinnacle of oral care to our community. My academic journey began with a rigorous foundation in biology and chemistry from Rhodes College in Memphis. This foundation was further honed when I graduated with high honors as salutatorian from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1988.

Hey! I’m Dr. Sully, the younger half of the father-son duo at Sullivan Dental Partners. Being a fourth-generation dentist has been more rewarding and fulfilling than I ever could have imagined. Growing up, I saw the deep bonds my father formed with his patients, and I knew early on that I wanted to follow in his and my granddad’s footsteps.
I began my academic journey at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, graduating with honors in 2011. I furthered my education at the Tennessee College of Dentistry, where I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2015 and was honored with the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence. In addition to my formal education, I’ve been proactive in embracing the latest advancements in dental technology. I constantly seek out contemporary techniques and breakthroughs in the field. With the rapid evolution of dental science, I engage in regular courses, meetings, and lectures, notably with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, our Dental Leaders of Middle Tennessee Study Club, and as an instructor and coach with 3D Dentists.

I was born and raised in the heart of Motor City/Motown, Michigan and am the first generation in my family to go to college. I wanted to carve a path for the next generation while also serving my community, so I pursued my larger than life dream of becoming a dentist!
I graduated from University of Detroit Mercy, and I returned to their School of Dentistry to achieve my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I believe in treating all of my patients with a standard of clinical excellence, kindness and respect. In order to continue growing my skillset, I am passionate about continuing my education in the ever evolving field of dentistry, and staying familiarized with the golden standard of oral health care. For any patient that prefers an extra level of comfort during dental treatment, I am also trained in oral sedation. My main focus as a dental provider is to build strong relationships with my patients and establish a safe place where dental appointments can be a comfortable experience.

Originally hailing from Michigan, I kicked off my dental career in Detroit, where I honed my skills for three solid years. Seeking new horizons and a bit more sunshine, I packed my bags and headed to Nashville to join the vibrant team at SDP.
As the pioneer dentist in my family, I’m all about blending science with a splash of artistry to deliver top-notch dental care. My journey into dentistry was fueled by a passion for making smiles brighter and lives better. At SDP, I’m committed to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every patient feels like family.
When I’m not busy perfecting smiles, you can find me hitting the trails with my family, chasing adventure wherever it leads. I’ve got a serious case of wanderlust—teaching English in China, studying abroad in Japan, and even lending a hand on a mission trip to Guatemala are just a few highlights. Oh, and did I mention I’m a bit of a kitchen maestro? Cooking up new recipes is my guilty pleasure—I take my culinary experiments as seriously as my dental techniques!
